Machine Room Cable Penetration

This firestopping seal was installed to a cable penetration between the machine room and the lift shaft.

As part of a full turnkey project, Protec Lifts completed the removal of the existing lift and installation of a new hydraulic package. Once the installation was complete, Protec Passive Fire identified and rectified the fire compartment breaches created by service penetrations through the separating wall.

Our team installed a compliant fire-rated sealing system around all cable penetrations, reinstating the fire integrity between the machine room and lift shaft.

By delivering both the lift installation and passive fire protection works, we provided the client with a fully compliant, safe and certified solution under one contractor.
